Machrie Hotel & Golf Links, has joined two Scottish treasures for a unique experience on the Isle of Islay. From May 1 to October 13, guests can book the hotel’s “Whisky & Iron” package to enjoy a 3-night stay filled with golf, exclusive single malt tastings at Islay’s historic distilleries, and coastal views of the rolling hills of Western Scotland.
The Machrie Hotel & Links’ Whisky & Iron package allows guests to experience the best of Scottish leisure, with two private tours per day through the finest single malt distilleries on Islay (also known as “Whisky Island”). With up to six tastings over the course of three days, guests are introduced to the unmistakable peat, and smoke-forward characteristics of Islay’s notable whisky.

The package includes two rounds on The Machrie’s 18-hole links course, founded in 1891. Situated on the big strand in Laggan Bay, the Machrie Links is a mix of traditional golf links with modernized complex greens.
The Machrie also offers a Wee course, which is six par-3 holes and there is the Hebrides putting course too.
The Whisky & Iron package also includes daily Scottish breakfast, two 50-minute spa treatments (one per person) at the PureGray Spa, and full use of the gym and sauna facilities. Rates start at $1,613 per couple in a Classic Double Room.
