Watch Out for the Plus-Three Dentist at SaddleBrooke One in Arizona

Just north of Tucson, SaddleBrooke One is tucked in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains in Southern Arizona. The private community is home to 27 holes of golf and 3,500 residents.

There are so many places around the U.S. to retire and play golf so we asked the Director of Golf, Bernie Eaton why someone should consider SaddleBrooke One.

“There’s always something to do here and honestly you have to come here and experience it for yourself and decide if it’s for you,” Eaton told us.

That made us think, perhaps deciding where to retire is like deciding which college is the best. Create a wish list, set a budget and then it’s time for some campus visits. SaddleBrooke One offers a two-night experience where interested residents can travel to Tucson, play the golf courses, enjoy the food and meet the locals for $99.

SaddleBrooke One - Arizona 2“We have parties all the time, but our state parties are a lot of fun. Everyone from Ohio for example get together and do things they used to do back home and talk about Ohio stuff. It’s always interesting when state parties reconnect folks that randomly ended up here at SaddleBrooke One. We’ve had situations where one person played tennis and the other played golf and they both have lived here over two years without running into each other,” says Eaton.

If anyone wants to come in and look for a match on the golf course, Eaton tells us there is a retired dentist with a plus-three handicap. The problem with a plus-three player is that 66 is in play, good luck.

“We have five different dining experiences that serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. We have over 300 different types of social clubs ranging from ballroom dancing club to table tennis and even a karate club. I tell everyone this, if you’re not doing anything here then it’s because you don’t want to,” Eaton added.
