That was amazing. To experience the PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in my hometown is a memory I will cherish forever. The ongoing narrative from Tiger Woods and other players in the field was about how incredible the fans were. I can attest — the energy in the air was beyond electric.
What to do next?
Off to Mexico for a few days at the Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an in Riviera Maya. On the slate are a few rounds of golf and a lesson at Riviera Maya Golf Club, a visit to Coba Archaeological Zone, an ancient Maya city and home to the tallest Maya pyramid on the Yucatan Peninsula, and a swim in Tamcach-Ha, which is part of the world’s largest underwater cave system.
While Brooks Koepka is somewhere celebrating with his Wanamaker Trophy — I’m unwinding in my suite which among a lengthy list of amenities includes a butler and private Jacuzzi. And whoever is responsible for the rose petals and bottle of wine — you’ve made me feel like a major champion.
