No Doubt, Hogan Is Proud of the Fort Worth Invitational

It’s not surprising that players want to win this tournament. The golf course is in pristine condition. The fairways are plush. It’s Texas and the greens are bent and that ain’t easy in this heat. Fans act the part – they understand Hogan’s Alley is sanctified ground.

Jami Cortez is working the door at the Texas Title sky-suite overlooking the seventeenth green. Texas hospitality is in effect.

“Come on in,” Cortez says.

A lot of “Hook Em’ Horns!” cheers for Vegas at Colonial

Longhorns, Horned Frogs, Aggies, and Mustangs in the gallery are having fun.

From nearby SMU, Bryson DeChambeau said this after his round today, “I played great considering on Wednesday afternoon I had nothing. My game was kind of in shambles actually. I was working on some stuff.”

Ben Crane played well again, he shot 69 today – he’s at five under in a tie for sixth.

Jordan Spieth hit the most amazing shot on No. 18 today. The pin was back-left, and he left his drive in the right fairway. He almost made it. Buzz and excitement does that to the great ones.

Emiliano Grillo is prime at minus nine after 36 holes alone second place.

“It got very tough on hole 15. The winds just completely switched and we had to adapt to a whole new golf course,” said Grillo.

We’re only halfway there. This is gonna be good.
