The Traits of Chelsea Pezzola and Why She Is Loved

An empty dog food bowl sits in the kitchen and a new leash hangs on the wall, but there’s no pooch in Chelsea Pezzola’s Arizona home. Pezzola calls it one of the more heartbreaking visuals in recent memory.

My mom intervened and said no dog,” Pezzola tells World’s Best Golf Destinations. “I’ve always had a dog and I want one so bad, but mom is right, I’m traveling too much and it wouldn’t be right.

The doggy mom on hiatus is trending since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2014. Last year she played in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters—she wasn’t happy with her showing but says the event was an incredible experience. She is a two-time ESPY attendee, this year she sat near American gymnast Simone Biles.

People are labeled crazy until they prove everyone wrong, then they’re legends. Ambitious indeed, but Pezzola has two goals: compete in the Solheim Cup and Olympics. Pezzola’s strokes per round average in college hovered around 80. A better player now versus then, but what if her competitive golf career is over? While in Ann Arbor, she was also Vice President of the Michigan Sports Business Conference. She rubbed elbows with ESPN President John Skipper, Founder of Related Companies and Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross and New York Mets COO Jeffrey Wilpon. Pezzola also carried the golf team’s highest GPA and was a Big Ten Academic All-American as a senior. This is a woman with a diversified portfolio—she has life options.

In addition to golfer; she’s a model, journalist, and social media influencer. She has worldwide fans and followers; more than 60,000 on Instagram and 7,000 “Tweeps.” Her admirers send praise such as: “Wow! Amazing! I need some lessons… lol,” “Marry me!” and “Absolute bombshell!” The majority of the comments are nice, but there was the one guy that regularly asked to wash her hair. Weird.

Pezzola is good-looking and has a fundamentally sound golf swing, a lethal combo. With such a devout following, naturally Pezzola is pocketing endorsement deal money, right? Soon, but not yet.

I am approached for endorsement deals, but I’m taking it slow. I want to get my brand right and I want to ensure I’m aligning myself with the right companies,” Pezzola adds.

On the way out, our conversation shifts to another one of Pezzola’s passions, music. She likes Drake, Dierks Bentley and the band Arizona, but it’s Gorgon City, a house music duo from London that she’s most passionate about. Like Tom Brady in the pocket checking down receivers, Pezzola is cruising through the traits of a highly desirable person.

Nails in the coffin come from Pezzola’s closing comments on her approach to fashion, “I’m a huge sports fan so I love to wear jerseys for the game, but honestly, nothing’s better than sexy ass dress.
